Powerhouse Motor Engineers was founded in 2002 by Brian, making us one of Derby’s most established independent garages with over 20 years’ experience.

Yes, we’re a proud family business. Brian founded the company after working for Toyota, wanting to be his own boss and deliver the honest, quality service he believed customers deserved. Brian’s wife works in the business too, bringing 23 years of motor trade experience.

We have a team of five fully employed staff. Everyone on the team is a valued employee – we don’t subcontract work out.

All our technicians completed apprenticeships and continue to maintain their skills with ongoing training. Brian is a Master Technician, whilst two of our workshop staff are qualified MOT testers with QC certification. Our receptionist has excellent customer service skills, and Brian’s wife brings over two decades of motor trade experience in various roles.

Yes, we’re members of Servicesure and the MOT Association, giving you added confidence in our professional standards and providing nationwide warranty cover on parts and labour.

We offer MOT testing, car servicing, tyre sales and fitting, and specialist motorhome and caravan services including MOT testing for motorhomes and tag axle expertise.

Absolutely. We’re specialists in motorhome and caravan servicing, repairs and MOT testing. We’re also tag axle specialists – a rare expertise that many garages don’t have.

Yes, we work with both domestic and commercial customers, providing the same high-quality, honest service to everyone.

Many repairs can be completed the same day, particularly if identified during an MOT or service. We’ll always aim to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
